Successful author, Judy Goldman, wrote a post on her blog with some very good advice for finding an agent for your novel or memoir. Many books have been written by authors who can't find an agent to help them reach traditional publishers. Judy suggests you not even look for an agent until your book is completely finished and that means edited by someone with who knows what they are doing. Click the link below and read more by someone who has published two novels. And read the excerpt of her latest. I did and now I have to read the entire book.

Words from a Reader
The “Writing Life Stories” e-mails I receive are such treasures. As soon as I see there is one in my inbox, I read it immediately. I look forward to them and never know how they will touch me. They can be interesting, informative, humorous, and/or touching.
Glenda, thank you so much for posting this link to Judy's site. I'm just back from reading her post. She has some fabulous advice and I made notes of each and every word.
ReplyDeleteAgain, many thanks for finding Judy.
