From the back deck of our cabin in West VA, Barry captured the beauty of three horses we enjoyed watching every day. I yearned to go out and caress their smooth necks and smell the velvety noses. Did you know that the little muzzle of a foal or young colt smells differently from an adult horse? Down on the farm were I grew up and lived for most of my life, the pastures were home to many horses and each spring as I drove from my house to the "hard road" I looked for the new foals - all colors and sizes; The babies learning to scamper around on long unwieldy legs and the two or three week old young ones running and kicking up their heels, nipping and playful, unafraid and free. No more beautiful sight to me than horses running loose.Words from a Reader
The “Writing Life Stories” e-mails I receive are such treasures. As soon as I see there is one in my inbox, I read it immediately. I look forward to them and never know how they will touch me. They can be interesting, informative, humorous, and/or touching.
