Barnes and Noble in Cumming, Georgia.
I've been without online connections for several days. Northside Hospital was not the best place for anything but compassionate doctors. Very poor staff for the most part.
Now we are at Embracing Hospice. A lovely place for family. A nightmare for me. It seems surreal and never ending, but I don't really want an ending. At the end, I'll have to find my way alone without my dearest friend and protector.
Many of my friends read this page and I want to thank you all for your prayers and support of me and Barry during this journey. The transition is beginning. I have been dearly blessed.
Words from a Reader
The “Writing Life Stories” e-mails I receive are such treasures. As soon as I see there is one in my inbox, I read it immediately. I look forward to them and never know how they will touch me. They can be interesting, informative, humorous, and/or touching.
Dear Glenda:
ReplyDeleteYou and Barry are on Mama and my hearts and minds. We really are sorry for all you are going through. I know it's very hard. We've been there with my father when he was ill. We are keeping you in our prayers. We hope things will turn around and Barry will get well. We know how it can be at hospital. Some of the nurses are very kind, others don't seem to care.
I am with you in spirit dear Glenda. Embracing Hospice is a great place to be in these circumstances. I wish we had something like it up here. I also know nothing can or will ease you at this time. Still, this is the best place you and Barry can be right now and I am glad you have Gay close by.
ReplyDeleteHolding you both close in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending more thoughts and prayers for both of you.
ReplyDeleteGlenda,
ReplyDeleteMany thoughts and prayers are surely with you. I add mine to them.
I'm still praying-and thinking of you often through the day.
ReplyDeleteOh, my thoughts are with you and yours - ...
ReplyDeleteThank you all, my friends. Thank you for your words of caring. Thank you for your prayers. I'm sure they helped me endure what I never thought I could and I know Barry was grateful for you all.
