Words from a Reader

The “Writing Life Stories” e-mails I receive are such treasures. As soon as I see there is one in my inbox, I read it immediately. I look forward to them and never know how they will touch me. They can be interesting, informative, humorous, and/or touching.

Photos from Murphy Party

Photos from the Echoes Party at Twice Upon a Time in Murphy, NC
Karen Holmes talks with Maren Mitchell and her mother, Elva. Behind her Peg Russell and Lorraine Newton. Bill Killian pouring champagne.

Nancy Simpson, Janice Moore, Brenda Kay Ledford on the front row.
Behind them, Ann Cahill, Linda Smith, Jo Carolyn Beebe, Blanche Ledford.

Clarence Newton sits in front of the children's play equipment. He is just a big kid, and an excellent poet.

The Netwest members in Clay and Cherokee counties in NC and those in the bordering counties of Georgia had good food and drink before reading from the Netwest anthology, Echoes Across the Blue Ridge, Stories, Essays and Poems by writers living in and inspired by the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
