Words from a Reader

The “Writing Life Stories” e-mails I receive are such treasures. As soon as I see there is one in my inbox, I read it immediately. I look forward to them and never know how they will touch me. They can be interesting, informative, humorous, and/or touching.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Make it a great 2012

Christmas is over for the year 2011. With my computer acting up, I did not get the opportunity to wish my readers a Merry Christmas, but I hope you all had a wonderful day.
I watched Jimmy Stewart again in It's a Wonderful Life. Everyone should be mandated to watch that movie once a year just to make them realize that every life touches another. If any of us had not been born the future of others would be changed.

It made me take the time to think about myself and what difference I have made in the world. I thought about each of my siblings and how my life would have been different if any of them had not been born. Try thinking about it. If you had not been born, how would the lives of your loved ones be changed?

Soon we will begin a new year, 2012. I don't set big goals or goals for the distant future, but I think about what I'd like to achieve next year - both in my work and personally. I am a list maker and I'll have a list going before long.

Best wishes to my readers, my friends, for a beautiful future filled with hope, good health and happy times with loved ones. Follow your passion seems so trite today, but that is truly what makes most people happy. When your work doesn't seem like work, I believe you are following your passion. I know people who enjoy every minute of the day doing what brings them joy. That is what I wish for you.
Happy New Year!

  2. Thank you for that thoughtful wish. I'll try to do that myself this coming year. And I do hope your new year is filled with exciting and fulfilling days... if that is what you want, that is. I also love that movie and have watched it many times. :-)

  4. I'm sorry to hear about your computer trouble. I'm fond of saying that computers are like men.You can't live with them, and you can't live without them. I hope you had a nice holiday nevertheless.
